PROF. ELLIS BADU

PROFESSOR ELLIS BADU is a Professor of Information Studies at the University of Ghana. He is a Ghanaian. He was educated at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. He holds a Master of Information Science degree from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He has a PhD in Information Science from the University of Sheffield, England.

He is currently a Professor on contract at the Department of Information Studies where he lectures in Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Research Methods at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.He has been an editor of Information Development Journal from 2010 to date as well as Editor Consultant for Ghana Library Journal from 2009 to date.

He represents the Non Fiction authors of the Ghana Association of Writers on the Copy Ghana Board. He has over 38 publications. He has been Head of Department of the Department of Information Studies, University of Ghanafrom 2000 to 2002, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies, University of Ghana from 2005 to 2009, and the University of Ghana Librarian from 2011 to 2015. He has served on Unibank Ghana Limited Board from 2008 to 2014 as well as Clydestone Board. He has served on the educational Boards (Councils) of Wisconsin University College, Methodist University College, and Pentecost University College.
