NANA OTUO OWOAHENE ACHEAMPONG

NANA OTUO OWOAHENE ACHEAMPONG (privately known as Franklyn King Glover), is a confident, outspoken and highly organized administrative professional, with experience in areas of the Arts, Culture and Tourism. Over the years, he has made tremendous achievements in these areas. He pioneered the creation of the Culture, Tourism, Trade and Industry sub-committee of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly on which he serves as the secretary and the Convener. He was also selected to represent Ghana in Abuja, Nigeria at Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) 30th Anniversary Celebration to showcase Ghanaian Artistic work during the ECOWAS Regional Fair.

Nana is currently enstooled as the Nkabomhene of the Kumawu Traditional Area in the Ashanti Region. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He also has a certificate in Event Management and Protocol from African Institute of Journalism and Communications, now called African University College of communication and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK). His latest certification is MA, Regional Integration & African development from the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA), Legon

Nana also serves with the Ghana government as Regional Director of the Centre for National Culture-Ahafo Region. He also holds several positions such as:

  • General Secretary – Ghana Culture Forum (GCF)
  • National President – Ghana Association of Visual Artists (GAVA)
  • Chairman – Chieftaincy Ministry of the Church of Pentecost, Goaso Area, Ahafo Region
  • Secretary- Ghana Heritage Committee of UNESCO
  • Government Appointee- Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly
  • Secretary – Conference of Directors and Accountants of the Centres for National Culture
  • International Executive Member/ Coordinator for Africa- International Association of Art (IAA)
