ASARE KONADU YAMOAH

 

Asare Konadu Yamoah has contributed to the development of publishing, culture and the Reprographic Rights Organisation (CopyGhana) in Ghana. He is an author and publisher —CEO of Adaex Educational Publications Limited (formerly Anowuo Publications) which has been running for five decades. Mr. Yamoah has served CopyGhana as a Board member for over a decade and he is currently the Chairman of CopyGhana.

He is the current President of the Ghana Publishers Association (GPA) and has been Chairman of the Ghana International Book Fair (GIBF) since 2020. He served the Ghana Culture Forum (GCF) as the Chairman from March 2019 to March 2023. He is a Board member and now Vice Chairman of African Publishers Network (APNET) ― a pan-African Association of Publishers’ Associations in Africa. From 2013-2015, he served as a member of Private Sector Advisory Council which advises the president of Ghana on matters of policy, regulations and initiatives in the private sector. He also served on the Ghana Book Trust Board from 2013 to 2017. Mr. Yamoah has also contributed to the development of the Ghana Book Development Council (GBDC) as a Board member from 2010 – 2014.

Asare has a lot of international exposure in the field of publishing and has attended a number of international book fairs and participated in workshops organized at these fairs and other locations. Between 1998 till date, Asare has visited many book fairs including Frankfurt, London, New Delhi, Bologna (Italy), Nigeria and South Africa.
